Exams
Punctuality
Students should arrive no later
than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the exam. This allows
students to enter together in a calm manner and be present for all
instructions. Arriving late can fluster students and be disruptive to others
who have already started their exam, as well as missing any important
instructions.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are not permitted
in any exam. All mobiles must be switched off and stored in bags
or handed in to the invigilator. Any student found with a mobile phone, even
switched off, will be reported to the awarding body as malpractice. No
exceptions can be made.
Watches/Fitbits
Watches of any type are no longer allowed in exam rooms. This includes fitbits. Clocks are visible at the front of the exam rooms for any student wishing to check the time.
Equipment
The following equipment should be brought to every exam:
- At least 2 black pens
- 2 HB pencils
- Pencil sharpener
- Eraser
- Ruler
For some exams you will also need the following:
- Coloured pencils
- Compasses
- Protractor
- Calculator
Please remember:
- All items of equipment, pens, pencils, mathematical instruments, etc should be visible to the invigilators at all times. You must either use a transparent pencil case or a clear plastic bag.
- Pens should be either black ink or ballpoint. No correction pens are allowed.
- For Mathematics and Science exams, students should make sure their calculators conform to the examination regulations. If in doubt, check with your teacher. Remove any covers or instructions and make sure batteries are new.
